Life's Great Love

Abstract

Life’s Great Love is a poem written for my oldest daughter when she was a baby. It expresses the depth of a mother’s love, describing her as a blessing from above and reflecting on the feeling that she could not be loved more. Through heartfelt language and emotional reflection, the poem captures the tenderness, gratitude, and joy of early motherhood.

This morning as I watch you sleep,

a smile on your little face

I know I couldn't love you more

in any other time or place

I touch your hand

you touch my heart

You are such a perfect angel

A blessing sent from up above

Who knew that such a little girl,

Would be my life's great love.
