Welcome to my ASU Graduate portfolio. The collected works illustrate my growth as a student and professional educator throughout my graduate program. I teach special education, focusing on English, reading skills and executive function. I am passionate about helping students feel supported and be successful in and out of school. My teaching is built on strong relationships, clear instruction, and research-based practices that help students learn.
This portfolio includes academic writing, creative work, and my teaching philosophy. Together, they demonstrate my progress as a student and my commitment to my career. My portfolio also reflects who I am outside of school. My family is very important to me, and I enjoy camping, boating, traveling, spending time in nature, and visiting historic places. These parts of my life shape who I am and the way I teach, write, and connect with others.
